THE NATURECITY FESTIVAL IS A WINNER

Wild about Saskatoon's first project, last year's NatureCity Festival, won Nature Saskatchewan's Conservation Award for 2013.

QUICK CROCUS FACTS

The prairie crocus, Anemone patens, avoids the risk of drought by blooming so bloomin' early that it can take advantage of the spring melt.

WILD ABOUT SASKATOON

Wild about Saskatoon is an informal group of people who believe that cities and the people who live in them are part of the natural world.

The Great Spring

Crocus Hunt Is On!

You can tell it's spring on the prairies when we all come out of our houses and go looking for crocuses. Isn't it amazing, the way they poke the plants poke their furry little noses out of the ground before the snow is gone?
